SOUTH HACKENSACK, NJ—Baffled by the lack of recognizable flags, names, or national symbols on the paper bills, employees at Platinum Lounge confirmed Thursday that a foreign man at the club was tossing around a totally unknown currency.“I can’t identify the script or characters, and I’ve never seen any money with those bright colors before,” said dancer Kya Moon, noting that while the man had tucked dozens of the mystery bills into her lingerie, their undetermined value made it impossible to tell if he was a high-roller or he was effectively throwing pennies at her. “There’s a guy with a lot of medals on his chest—is that a king or a president or a general? The picture on the other side is a horse, so that doesn’t really narrow it down either. All I know for sure is that the bill was immediately rejected by the vending machines.” At press time, the dancers were reportedly growing concerned after the man used several stacks of the bills to pay for an order of mozzarella sticks.
