FCC Lowers Cost Of Prison Calls

The Federal Communications Commission is taking steps to reduce the cost of phone calls to inmates in prison, which currently run as high as $14 a minute but will soon cost a maximum of $1.65 for a 15-minute call, a move that reform groups say will keep families better connected with their loved ones in jail.
